According to news agency ANI , 20 soldiers have been reported to be killed in a violent face off with Chinese force in Ladakh’s Galwan valley . At least 20 Indian soldiers have been killed in a face-off with Chinese army in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.
Prior to this report , Indian defence force confirmed killing of an Indian Colonel and two soldiers on Monday night in a heated escalation .
In a statement which appeared on National English channel, NDTV 24×7, Indian Military officials said, “During the de-escalation process underway in the Galwan Valley, a violent face-off took place yesterday night with casualties. The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers. Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation.”
From last month, the Chinese army had tried to intrude at several places in Ladakh resulting standoff, which is still in the same situation. Both countries have beefed up their reinforcement activities in the high area in Himalayas. Thousands of troops have been sent on the ALC ( Actual Line of Control ) which is a blurry demarcation of land and leads both countries to claim territory.
According to different Indian defence, analysts say that Chinese establishment has intensified its military movement with dump trucks, excavators, troops carriers, artillery and armoured vehicles.

Ajai Shukla who is a famous defence analyst said in a tweet that China has occupied Indian territory: China has changed the frontlines in Ladakh, and occupied Indian territory… and New Delhi is talking about “a long haul” and “military and diplomatic engagement!” If so abject was to be the surrender, disband the “mountain strike corps” & remove armoured brigade from Ladakh.
