Recently two teenage girls of Central Kashmir’s chrar-i-Shareef Town of District Budgam won Bronze and Silver medals in karate at international level at Ahmadabad Gujrat.
The two girls Rabiya Amin(14) and Pakeeza Nazir(14) who have won medals are hailing from middle class family , made their families proud at the end of the last year.
In the beginning Pakeeza was good in studies , along her academic studies she was playing karate at homeyard. Soon came from school she started playing karate said her mother shakeela.
We found spark in her eyes about karate and then we started a tution training for her at Dynamic Training club she adds.
Pakeeza was passionate & dreaming about winning medals from beginning, and was always playing karate whenever she found herself free. We didn’t restrict her since we know that she wants to become a karate champion.
We feel very proud and distribute sweets to our relatives when we heard that pakeeza defeated her contender of Iraq , Bangladesh and won Bronze medal in Karate International cup Ahmedabad Gujrat said her father Nazirr ahmad sofi .
I was practicing everytime everyday for it, firstly in local playground then in club but the villagers were always taunting at us but we put our heart in this game and we are getting the fruit of our hardwork today said Pakeeza.
After winning the the honour I found myself more curiositic then I started tution from Dynamic Training Club which is few kilometres away from our residence she added.
Rabiya Amin (16) lived in two storey house at chrar-i-Shareef of central Kashmir’s Budgam District won silver medal at Karate International Cup Ahmedabad Gujrat.
Rabiya a karate player have won 5 medals in local trophies and recently won silver medal in Ahmadabad Gujrat. Her hardwork pays, as she was always dreaming to take part in trophies said her father Mir mohammad amin shah
Neighbours tell me everytime that your daughter Rabiya is not able to do this while she was practicing, but with her hardwork and the belief she got the victory said Rabiya’s Mother.
Locals did not allow us to practice at playground but my family provided me everything all the time, support and stuff whatever and whenever i need, with the prayers and support of my family i won at Ahmadabad said Rabiya Amin.
I request rest of the girls that with studies do recognize their interest in the games also, she added.
We feel proud after winning the medals at international level. We thank to Almighty Allah and dedicate our success to family and our trainers.
The coach of the said girls Mohammad Aqib and Raju Malik appeals to DC Budgam Dr Sehrish Asgar to support us and give equipments so that more students could come forward to show their talent in this field.
