After the painful Pulwama attack which claimed lives of no. of CRPF personals, things seem to have drastically changed.

A day after the attack, Honrable Home Minister Rajnath Sing made his emergency visit to the valley, headed the key meeting between army and CRPF, met Governor, and made a stunning and staggering announcement.

The decision or we can say resolution passed by the meeting faced dire opposition from all the corners.

JRL, Mainstream politicians and even common people expressed outrageous dissent concerning the decision.

The resolution read: “No civilian traffic during convoy movement”

The law seems in no way supporting the democratic system of the nation. Despite facing stern opposition, the law was passed and got implemented adding more to the suffering of common masses.

Now during the convoy movement, no civilian traffic was allowed. Even ambulances carrying patients were stopped.

This kind of policies whom Shah Faisal called the Israel policies would further escalate the tensions in the valley and as I mentioned it earlier, would add to the already woes of the masses…

Now elections are closer and they have to do them in a fear-free atmosphere so that the participation is satisfactory. That needs some serious steps to be taken.

The first step was nocturnal raids, keeping the religious clerks, leaders behind the bars, banning Jamat e Islami and Yasin Malik lead JKLF…

The second one which is no less than a martial law is to impose curfew-like restrictions on national highway for every two days in a week and not allowing any civilian movement.

The first time even Farook Abdullah spoke sound and made a brilliant statement here that even during Kargil like war the national highway was not closed.

The highway is the lifeline of a country and should not be closed at any cost. we are not opposing the security of forces but that should be in a proper manner and even if govt.is so much concerned with their security then why don’t you switch to air traffic. It is not a big deal for such a huge country…

The closing highway was, is and would be never any option so think something other, some thing better.
