Reports reaching Roshan Kashmir said that militants this evening attacked patrolling party of 9 RR in Gudur village of Kulgam. Security forces retaliated resulting in the encounter.
Four militants were killed in the exchange of fire. One army officer identified as Major Patel has also received bullet injury. Sources said that officer received bullet in the leg and was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Identification of the slain militants is being ascertained.
