Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting held at Police Station Vilgam in Handwara

Handwara July 18 (IK) With an aim to strengthen relations with pubic & also to establish mass contacts, today a PCPG meeting was held at Police Station Vilgam.

Police Station Vilgam convened a public interaction meeting in which good number of respectables of the area BDCS, Masjid Committee, Traders Association, Panchs, Sarpanchs & Lumberdars etc. participated .

The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS besides DYSP OPS Handwara Fariz Hussain-JKPS, SHO Police Station Vilgam Insp Mohd Suleman and Naib Tehsildar Vilgam were also present in the meeting .

The participants highlighted various issues of public importance & some issues related to civil administration.

People of the area appreciated the step of local police for their outreach to public and supporting hands in the area during pandemic & bringing crime rate down in general area.

Participants assured their full cooperation in sharing information regarding drug peddlers and other social elements creating havoc in the peaceful atmosphere.

Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, SP Handwara given spot directions to the subordinate officers and assured them that other issues pertaining to Police will be solved in shortest possible time.

Matters pertaining civil administration will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority. He also asked them to keep cooperating with Police as in the past so that the motto of a peaceful atmosphere in the area is achieved.(IK)
