Kupwara: The country celeberated 75th independance day with great fervour and enthauism.Different programmes were organised in every nook and corner of the valley.In lolab the function was also held at Govt Degree College Sogam,Kupwara,where Sub Divisional Magistrate Lolab Aijaz Ah Bhat,Cheif guest on the occasion,unfurled the National Flag,who was accompanied by Tehsildar Lalpora,sogam,Reyaz Ahmad,BDC Chairperson Nighat Mushtaq and Principal GDC Sogam Mohd Shafi,and took Salute to the participating contingents of March past comprising of JKP,CRPF,IRP,JK Home Guard,SPO’s and NCC Cadets.It was a ist ever independence day which was celebrated across Lolab valley with great fervour and enthausism.
On this auspicious occasion school going students presented different cultural programmes.
While speaking on the occasion,SDM Lolab congratulated the people on the eve of 75th Independence Day and said Lolab adminstration is working on a multi dimensional strategy for the over all development of the lolab valley with active support of government and various developmental projects have been completed.
From children to senior citizens,the crowd thoroughly witnessed and enjoyed the 75th independence day.From early morning,people from adjoining areas gathered the place.The festivity in the area made the people of remote area to forget about their day-to-day issues for some time.
Later,Sub Divisional Magistrate Lolab,Tehsildar Lalpora and Sogam distributed awards and certificates of appreciation among the teachers forum zone sogam,health workers block sogam,media fraternity,food department,asha workers,revenue department,Jal Shakti,R&B department, police and civil department were also felicitated ,who played an active role during covid19 pandemic.
Some high dignitaries,like Principal Govt Degree College Sogam Mohd Shafi,Principal Govt Boys Hr School Sogam Ab Gaffer,Principal Govt Girls Hr Sec Sogam Ali Mohammad,Incharge ZEO Sogam Gh Ahmad and ZEO Khumriyaal Farooq Ahmad,BDO Wavoora,Sogam Reyaz Ahmad,Naib Tehsildar Khurhama Javaid Ahmad Shah,Naib Tehsildar Lalpora Fayaz Ahmad and TSO Sogam Ehsan Ul Haq Khan were also falicitated by SDM Lolab on the eve of 75th independence day.
Among the best performance in cultural programmes,AGS Chandigam got ist position,followed by AGS Krusan on 2nd rank.
At the end,Tehsildar Lalpora,Sogam Reyaz Ahmad paid vote of thanks and congratulated the people of Lolab on the Eve of 75th independence day.
Apart from this,the situation across the Lolab valley stands sufficient and there was no report of any untoward incidents.
Sarpanchs,Ward Member’s, also unfurled tricolar in there respective jurisdiction and extended congratulation to the people on the Eve of 75th independence day.(IK)
