Sopore: As Jammu and Kashmir Board of School education declared matriculation results this morning in which likewise previous year’s this year too girls outshine boys.Amid many challenges like Covid-19 and Internet shutdowns, Students at government Schools in zone Sopore performed well as compared to the previous year.
According to the reports, many government school students of the Sopore zone had bagged top positions thus bringing laurels to their schools as well as their parents.In Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Sopore, Mahnur Muzaffar bagged 2nd position in Zonal level by securing (492) marks and Nargis Khatoon 3rd by securing (487) marks.Similarly in Boys Higher Secondary School Sopore, Lazim Lateef secured (458) marks, Aakash Gul (447) and Farzan Farooq (446).
In Govt High School Jamia Qadeem, Misbah Rasool secured (481) marks, Shagila Gul (476), Iqra Bashir (472), Seerat Fayaz (465) and Fatima Nazir (462).In Govt High School Tarzoo, Tahmeena Jan secured (458) marks, Neelofar Shafi (452) Hidayat Aziz (445) and Abrar-ul-Haq (432).
Meanwhile, Zonal Educational Officer Sopore in a congratulatory message thanked students and teachers who managed to prove their mettle despite many odds.”For those students who could not make it this time, life doesn’t stop here, keep working hard, success will surely knock your doors”, he added.
Pertinently, of the total 75,132 students who appeared in the board exams, 76.09 percent of girls passed while 74.04 percent of boys also passed the examinations.
