Jammu: Anjuman Farogh Urdu has Celebrated Int’l Women’s Day at Govt College of education Jammu.
As per the handout received by this newspaper reads, Anjuman Farogh Urdu has organized international women’s day at Govt College of education Jammu in which the Hindi Book “Qatrah Qatrah Sach” written by a renowned Hindi Author Smt .Raksha Sharma ,Widow of Renowned poet Of Dogri and Hindi late Yash Sharma, and Mother of renowned ghazal singer Seema Anil Sehgal was Released. This book is written on the lives of the wives of Dogri and Hindi poets of Jammu.
After the release of the book, Raksha Sharma thoroughly speak about the book and the hardwork & dedication in writing.
Smt. Raksha said that she went to the houses of these women and talked to them and brought the truth drop by drop to the readers. Seema Anil Sehgal read the leaflet written about the book.
After this event, A poetic symposium of women’s was also organized.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Prof. Shalini Rana. Ms Seema Anil Sehgal graced the occasion as Chief Guest while as Ms. Anubhuti DySP Cyber crime Jammu, Renowned Hindi poet Dr. Aruna Sharma were the guest of honor during the event.
Ms Anubhuti DySP Cyber Crime Jammu provided very useful information on cybercrime.
Prof, Ekta Gupta Principal Govt College of Education presided over the Function. Prof. Rubina Yasmin performed the duties of the stage.
Those poets who presented their literary creations were, Ms. Santosh Shah Nadan, Ms. Nancy Chetna, Ms.Shushma Rani, Ms. Geetika Kohli, Ms. Bindiya Raina, Ms. Kusum Dhar Sharda, Ms. Usha Kiran Kiran, Ms. Madhu Sharma, Ms. Shaista Masood, Dr. Aruna Sharma, Ms. Ranu Kaul, Dr. Sarita Sharma, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Maansi, Prof. Rubina Yasmin, Prof. Shalini Rana, Ms. Rajini Behar, Ms. Seema Sharma,Dr. Sunita Siraria, Fozia Mughal Zia.
Apart from poets and college staff, college students also attended the event. The words of gratitude were given by Ms. Fozia Mughal Zia, president of Anjuman Farough E Urdu. She also unequivocally thank to the principal of the Government College of education Prof Ekta Gupta who provide a place for celebration of international women’s day.
