Army holds workshop for specially-abled in Langate

Handwara: To Empower Specially Abled Persons and spread awareness amongst them on Medical, Psychological, Social, Economic, ic and Life Skills, the Army camp Langate organized a workshop, which was undertaken by Nishtha Thaker Anand, who is suffering from genetic disorder.

According to an official handout issued here said that Anand is the Managing Director and Founder Trustee of a Gujarat-based NGO, ‘Spreading Smile Charitable Trust’ that undertook the special program for special children.

“the workshop was conducted as part of the project “UMMED” – A Ray of Hope .A total of 54 persons (27 Specially Abled Persons and 27 attendants) participated in the workshop”, the official added.

Nishtha Thaker and her team of five representatives suggested various methods to channelize their energies in the right direction and also advised them to maintain a positive frame of mind, the official said.

The Specially Abled Persons including their attendants and Public expressed their gratitude and thanked Army fo organizing the workshop.
