Sopore: Government has instructed all the heads of private Coaching Centres not to engage any government teacher in their teaching faculty, warning them of strict action in case they ignore the directive.
The coaching centres which are operating in Sopore have bypassed the orders passed by the Authorities.
Overcrowded classes with no facilities in classrooms and having no social distance with authorities saying that they are trying to streamline the sector, these centres are in mess.
In spite of the repeated assurances by the Government to check the functioning and operation of various coaching / tuition centres in J&K state, the Government has miserably failed to fulfil its promise.
Students at Boys Higher Secondary Sopore complained about the non-seriousness of teachers towards their regular classes.
They said, the government has availed us the facility of free tuitions but it’s very unfortunate that our teachers are not taking our classes seriously.
Adding that, our teachers are saying us to come after 1 or 2 pm than only we can take your classes as we have to teach in our private centres, which forces us to leave the school premises for our homes so that we could reach our destination earlier.
Meanwhile, when contacted with Zonal Educational Officer (ZEO) Sopore, Abdul Salaam, who is also an inspection officer for zone Sopore for monitoring of private coaching centres, he said, I had done many surprise visits to coaching centres wherefrom several complaints were pouring in but didn’t found any government teacher involved in the said practice.
“Since you brought it into my notice, I will surely take an action against those teachers who would be found indulging in such practices”, official added
