Bandipora,15 May: Bandipora police continuing its efforts to root out the menace of drugs, today launched extensive drive to destroy illegal Poppy cultivation.
Police parties of P/S Hajin under the supervision of SDPO Hajin and SHO Hajin along with Excise deptt. destroyed Poppy cultivation in Paribal, Malikpora , Madhwan Hajin and other adjoining areas.
General public of the area have appreciated this action of police.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
