Bandipora suicide case: Family members of woman who allegedly sets Herself ablaze.

Bandipora : Family members and relatives of the woman who allegedly sets herself ablaze in husband’s house in Chatibandi village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district staged protest demanding stern punishment to the ‘culprits.’

Eyewitnesses said that the family members and relatives of the deceased woman hit to road to protest against the alleged murder of their daughter by her in-laws on July 10 at Chattibandi village and were demanding punishment for  in-laws of the deceased woman.

The protesters alleged that our daughter was being ‘tortured and harassed’ by her in-laws and demanded swift action against the culprits involved in the crime. 

Immediately police rushed to the spot assured protesters that the case will be investigated thoroughly and after the assurance and intervention by police the protesters dispersed peacefully. 

 A Police officer told that a case already stands registered in this regard, One accused have been arrested and investigation is going on in full swing.

Pertinently to mention that a 30-year-old woman (name withheld) set herself ablaze in the house of her husband in Chatibandi village  and subsequently succumbed to her burn injuries on 10 July.
