Srinagar, May 02 (KNS): At least eight sheep were killed on Saturday in Karnah village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district when a wild beast attacked cattle shed.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a group of wild entered into cattle shed in Nachain Karnah during intervening night of Friday and Saturday and killed 8 sheep and injured 5 others.
The cattle shed belongs to one namely Mohammad Shafi of Haji Mangoo.
Shafi told KNS that last night, wild animals believed to be a bear broken the window and entered into the shed and killed 8 sheep and left 5 others injured.
He said these sheep were provided by Sheep Husbandry Department under a scheme which was his only source of income. (KNS)
