Body of man drowned in Nallah Mawer fished out after two days

Locals hail DO Langate for his strenuous effort

Handwara: The body of a man who slipped and drowned into Nallah Mawer in Kupwara district was fished out on Wednesday after two days.

An official told that body of the man identified as Mohammad Amin Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi u Din Bhat of Langate who had drowned into the Nallah, has been retrieved.

He said that after completion of all medico-legal formalities, body was handed over to the family for last rites.

Police have already registered a case in this regard and are investigating the matter.

Meanwhile, the strenuous efforts of Handwara Police especially the I/C PP Langate SI Rashid Khan is being largely appreciated by the people.
