Anantnag : Senior Leader and National Council member of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Mohd Rafiq Wani along with his Wife Rumaisa Rafiq on Sunday contributed a one month salary to ‘PM Cares Fund’ for Combating, Containment and relief efforts against the Novel Coronavirus outbreak.
The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) was raised on 28 March 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic in India.The fund will be used for combating, containment and relief efforts against the coronavirus outbreak and similar pandemic like situations in the future.
The Couple contributed the Cheque on to PM CARES Fund of Rs 11,000 that is equal to their one month salary during the meeting on Sunday in BJP Headquarter Anantnag that was called by party vice president Sofi Yousuf.
In a meeting, prominent party leaders from the south Kashmir were directed for the contribution to the PM CARES Fund.
The Couple is on the forefront from the day of lockdown to help the indigent families and visited many villages where they met to daily based Workers and provide them every assistance.
The duo said that they have dropped the essential food stuff at the doors of necessitous families and will continue to help till the situation becomes normal.
