Handwara: Residents of Kulungam Handwara are facing shortage of water due to which people face many difficulties.
Locals allege Public Health Engineering(PHE) department of negligence and said that concerned department is not paying attention towards problems of the particular area.
“We are suffering here and there due to the shortage of drinking water from last one month and department hardly bothers to take any necessary action” locals said while talking to inside kashmir.
People of the area have brought this matter before higher authority many a tmes but to no avail.
Locals of the said area also alleged that PHE employees do not attend duties regularly.
They urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter as soon as possible so that they won’t suffer in future.
President JK Zamindar Forum Malik Hamid said, “Govt. should take fast action and solve the problem which people face from a decade. Water Is a basic need of all, without which survival is impossible. Govt.should immediately work on this serious matter.”
In this regard Iside Kashmir contacted concerned department officals but they did not respond.
