COVID-19 : Hours After Burial, Sopore Man’s Covid Positive Test Comes Negative

Family Alleges Doctor’s Negligence

Sopore, 09 June : A 52-year-old man from Sopore who died on Tuesday morning at CD Hospital Srinagar and was declared positive for coronavirus has now tested negative.

The deceased had met an accident 20-days before. He was admitted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where from he was referred to CD Hospital Srinagar four days ago.

The man was tested positive for Coronavirus and died this morning.

However, at around 2 pm, family members received a message that he was tested negative.

While talking with Inside Kashmir correspondent, Family member said, ” The deceased had met with an accident 20 days ago and was being treated at SMHS Hospital Srinagar,

Family member while adding said, ” Doctors there at SMHS even didn’t touch him for days and after that they declared him as Covid Positive and that too orally , no written report was shown to us”.

Another family member said, ” I was with him at SMHS Hospital, while doing roundup check , i heard   one of the doctor at SMHS saying  , ” Leikhun Yi Patient Positive ” ( Write this one as positive) and when i told him why are you  saying this, he said come with me and told,”Bi oosus Mazaak Kara ” (I was just kidding).

” This is the incident which took place in front of me, what about others who don’t know the reality “, Family member added.

When contacted BMO Sopore over this issue, Official said, ” Whosoever is being admitted at covid hospitals, we have to treat him/her, as a covid positive patient and should be burried as per covid protocol “.

Rest you can confirm the matter with CD hospital authorities , Official Added.
