#COVID-19: Lockdown continues across district Baramulla,

Scores visit hospitals for necessary check-up

Sopore, 25 March : Amid coronavirus scare and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 restrictions in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district were tightened on Wednesday and strict action was initiated against violaters, Following  PM Modi’s announcement of  21 days nationwide lockdown.

Security forces sealed off several roads and erected barriers across the district to ensure the lockdown. Police vehicles on Wednesday morning, announcing the imposition of restrictions under section 144 of CrPC across the district and advising people to stay indoors.

Meanwhile a complete lockdown has been witnesses also in sub division Sopore including Rafiabad and Zaingeer belts.

In Sopore town all entry and exit points were sealed by security forces and erected barriers, wires to enforce the lockdown. However all shops, other business establishments remain complete shut in main towns of district including Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan and other areas of district exempted medical shops, while as transport was completely off the roads.

Meanwhile as precautionary measure number of people including students who came from outside state or country visits SDH Sopore for necessary check up,

BMO Sopore Dr. Asif khanday while talking to Media said, “After a case found positive who also visits Sopore and met number of people here. the people whom he met as well as number of students who came back from outside states visited the hospital for necessary check up since Wednesday morning.

BMO added that we have established a quarantine centre at Agriculture college wadoora for students.
