The veteran politician and senior leader of Ganderbal, Sheikh Ghulam Ahmad Saloora has accused district administration for making thousands of patients to suffer very badly due to the closure of District hospital Ganderbal.

Saloora has hit hard and loud highlighting the sufferings of the whole district saying thousands of patients with different health issues from across the district used to visit the district hospital on daily basis. But the decision of making DH as the designated Covid-19 centre was never a wise decision.

Mentioning the updates of WHO and other Global and national health institutions and personalities who claim Covid-19 pandamic to last for years, Saloora said closing district hospital has created a havoc across the district and patients with different illnesses and those who require Surgeries and other remedial measures are the worst sufferers.

Saloora said district administration has done a very big blunder by occupying DH hospital for Covid-19 where as many options like MMC Wayil, COPE, Sainik School, JNV, PTS and other suitable places were well available for the cause.

This wrong step by the District administration has downgraded the health care facilities in the district and people at large are facing the brunt of this administrative negligence and non sense.

Saloora appealed administration to revive their decision and take immediate steps to restore district hospital for the normal patient activities and shift the least needed Covid isolation at some different place away from the main town and populated locations.

Saloora further said that people in the district are very angry and annoyed with the district administration and urge immediate restoration of normal patient care and other needed health activities at DH Ganderbal.
