Sopore: In a bid to combat with Covid 19 free masks were distributed among people who were seen without masks in Sopore markets
On the directions of ADC Sopore, Mr Parvaiz Sajad Ganaie, a special squad was put on force to ensure people wearing masks and following SOPs and guidelines which have been set in view of pandemic.
Squad comprising of Police, Municipality, Health And Other Civil Admin Officials.
People were given masks and advised to follow so with letter and spirit in future as well so to combat with deadly virus.
Squad also imposed fine on some shopkeepers and people who were not wearing masks and were not following SOPs and guidelines.
Meanwhile ADC Sopore while talking with the correspondend said, “this drive was launched in view of pandemic as people who went markets are seen without masks”,
“It’s necessary to wear Mask and follow guidelines which have been already issued in view of the pandemic”,
“I appeal people to follow SOPs and guidelines and wear masks so to deal with virus”.
However Official added, “This drive shall be continued in future as well”.
