Covid-19: Rs 2350 collected as fine from lockdown violators in Handwara

Handwara, 24 July: Rupees 2350 were collected as fine from people for not wearing masks and violating lockdown in Handwara town of North kashmir.

On Friday A team led by Naib Tehsildar Handwara, Bashir Ahmad along with Revenue Officials and police party collected Rs 2350 as fine from violaters on account of violating the order of mask wearing and lockdown restriction in Handwara Market.

The lockdown has been imposed by District administration Kupwara and directed all magistrates to act tough against lockdown violators. Officials said that those who were fined were found without face masks in public places.

“Prevention is must and many people were not abiding by the norms as required,” they said.

The Handwra administration has urged people to stay inside and to follow the SOP.
