NO FRIDAY PRAYERS IN JAMIA MASJID/ KHANKAH E MOULA SOPORE
Sopore, 27 March: Amid coronavirus scare and to prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) curfew like restrictions in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district continued on seventh day.
Security forces sealed off several roads and erected barriers across the district to ensure the lockdown. Police vehicles on Friday morning again, announced the imposition of restrictions under section 144 of CrPC across the district and advised people to stay indoors and not to come out for prayers.
Meanwhile similar reports of lockdown was witnessed in Tangmarg, Kreeri, Pattan, Uri, Rafiabad and Zaingeer of the district.
In Sopore town all entry and exit points were sealed by security forces and erected barriers, wires to enforce the lockdown. However all shops, other business establishments remained complete shut while as transport was completely off the roads.
Beside this, No Friday congregational Prayers were allowed in Jamia Masjid, Khankah Moula and other local mosque’s of the town.
However similar reports came from Baramulla, Pattan, Tangmarg, Uri, Rafiabad and Zaingeer said No Friday congregational prayers were allowed in Jamia Masjid’s and Local mosque’s.
It’s pertinent to mention in view of COVID-19 District administration had already ordered closure of Jamia’s and local mosque’s for Friday Congregational prayers.
