KUPWARA, MARCH 28: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today handed over key of a Tractor to a farmer belonging to border subdivision, Karnah under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Sub Mission Agriculture Mechanization (SMAM), here.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Nazir Ahmad Wani; District Agriculture Officer and other concerned were present at the occasion.
It was informed at the occasion that the Agriculture department had provided two Tractors to the farmers belonging to Jabdi Forward and Gabra villages of Karnah sub division of kupwara district.
It was also informed that cost of Tactor is Rs. 8,10,000 and the Department provides subsidy of Rs.2 lakh to a beneficiary.
