DC Kupwara expresses gratitude to people for mitigation of COVID pandemic. Stresses for Administration of vaccination, continue follow CAB

KUPWARA, AUGUST 13: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today expressed gratitude to the people of Kupwara district and stakeholders for their efforts in mitigation of COVID pandemic.      

 The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.  Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that 99.94% people of above 45 year age and 39.51% of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate stands at 0.27% while as, recovery rate stands at 98.6% which is a sign of satisfaction.  The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the COVID appropriate behaviour and other SOPs. He appealed the people to come forward and administer COVID vaccine at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic. He said following COVID appropriate behaviour religiously, we can keep possible third wave of COVID at bay.Nodal Officer COVID, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh and District Epidemiologist, Naseer Ahmad Wani was present at the occasion.
