Ensure cent percent saturation under KCC stressed DDC

In order to ensure the smooth and successful observance of the upcomming 15 day long “Kissan Pakwara” which is going to start from 7th July 2020 across the district kishtwar , District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today chaired a meeting and reviewed the preparedness of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal ,Sheep Husbandry, Fishery and Sericulture department here at conference Hall Mini secretariat DC office Kishtwar.
During the meeting DDC took a stock of the preparedness of the these departments ahead of the Kissan Pakhwara being observed in the district.
He also assessed the progress made by these departments for previous year on the implementation of various pro farmers schemes being under taken by these departments in the district on the gross root level and
also discussed the impediments that are being faced by the executing agencies.
On the issue of Cent percent saturation of farmers in the various schemes under Agri ,dairy and fisheries sectors , he asked the departmental heads, field functionaries as well as the Bankers to reach out to the stakeholders at the door step of farmers without any delay for ensured enrolment as elegible beneficiaries of KCC.
Furthermore, he stressed upon the Bankers to remove all the bottlenecks in the sanctioning of loans to deserving farmers.
Besides he impressed upon the different Bankers to increase the credit to primary sector by 2.5 times this year as desired by Govt of J&K UT, wherein a substantial chunk of applicants should be approved and disbursed the same before or during the Kissan Pakhwara.
He directed all the bank heads to ensure credit insurance and loans disbursal to the applicant farmers at the earliest and submit the report of the same in his office regularly and periodically for better accountability.
In order to raise the massive awareness about various schemes ,recent technological upgradations ,new seeds and technologies of cultivation, he directed the concerned District Officers to mobilise the field staff to the destination areas and initiate the awareness camps there before the Kissan Pakhwara is started.
He emphasised the Heads of all the departments to bring significant change in the work attitude so that the desire able results could be achieved.
The others who attended the meeting were Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohd Hanief Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain,Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal ,SDM Chhatroo and SDM Paddar among others.
