There is always a question to oneself why the land (India) which seen Traditionally and culturally always rich from ancient times to the medieval era is now the dangerous place for a woman to live. Gender-based crimes currently engulf the social dignity of society as a whole.Thinking broadly over the non-stop heinous crimes existence in the society revelled several lacunae at social, legal and legislative levels. Society, as we know, is patriarchal which results in the suppression of women by considering her a second class citizen from the very beginning. The process of conceptual grooming starts from the family where we mostly lack the balance between the genders. It is well-observed fact that among boys and girls the opinion of boys is easier considered which imbibe the superiority notion in his mind from childhood which later on became the curse for the women in the society.The immediate surroundings affect the nurturing of the gender which in long run results in violence against women. Common is the change all over the country regarding the culture of violence.
The notion of modernization in respect of wearing style among the current teenage girl generation seems to be the one reason for inculcating factor for rape, but society witnesses the rape of children below 10 years. Veiled women etc. So the reason whatever, but shall we need to introduce topics like Gender Sensitization in schools, sexuality, consent and mutual respect so that same can be discussed.
