Srinagar: 4 days cascading training Re-orientation program of District Level master trainers/ Pharmacist and Support staff of Ayush Health and Wellness Centers of Kashmir Division culminated today on 25th March at Directorate of Ayush Bemina Srinagar.
In order to fully equip the Medical officers/community health officers, pharmacists and support staff of Ayush health and wellness centers being established in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir by Directorate of Ayush J&K as per the guidelines of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, a 4 day cascading training/ re-orientation program was organized Directorate of Ayush Srinagar under the supervision of Dr. Mohan Singh, Director Ayush, J&K. In this 4 days training program, three membered teams from each 10 district of Kashmir Division comprising of two District level master trainers (Medical Officers) and one pharmacist participated wherein the team was given exhaustive sessions about essential components of Ayush Health and Wellness Centers like Population enumeration, family empanelment, community based screening of Non-communicable disorders, propagation of Ayush interventions, local medicinal herbs, development of Nutritional and medicinal garden, School Health Program, Diagnostic Kits and Information technology skills etc. Many practical sessions on Prakriti Parikshan (Temperament), Diagnostic kits handling, biomedical waste management were also organized by the organizing committee of the training program. The training was organized by Divisional Nodal Office AHWC, Kashmir Division in collaboration with Deputy directorate of Ayush Kashmir. The objective of the training program was ensuring effective implementation of various components of National Ayush Mission from the platform of Ayush Health and Wellness Centers all across the UT OF J&K. It is pertinent to mention here that Directorate of Ayush J&K is upgrading all the Ayush Dispensaries to Ayush Health and Wellness Centers in a phased manner. Till date out of 571 Ayush dispensaries about 317 centers have been upgraded to Ayush Health and Wellness centers and are being developed in a phased manner. In the valedictory function, Dr. Mohan Singh Director Ayush J&K, motivated the participants to implement all the components of Ayush Health and Wellness centers at their respective AHWCs and cascade the training among other CHOs and Ayush support staff in their respective districts. He also highlighted that such trainings will be the regular feature and will go a long way in the effective ope-rationalization of the Ayush Health and Wellness centers. He also urged the CHOs and support staff to provide holistic health and wellness to the communities, propagate and promote the Ayush interventions in Comprehensive Primary Health Care. The training program ended with vote of Thanks to all participants presented by Dr Sajad Hussain Shuja , Assistant Director HQ.
