DM Anantnag Orders Closure of Oxford Presentation School, Imposed Rs 1 Lac Penalty over Violation of Guidelines

Anantnag:- District Magistrate Anantnag Mr. KK Sidha on Saturday orders a Closure of Oxford Presentation School in Anantnag district till further orders over violating the guidelines of Government .

An order, a copy of Which lies with ‘Daily Inside Kashmir’ reads, Chief Education Officer Anantnag, wide letter number CEO/A/IMV/2506425064-67 dated 28th November 2020 stated that acting on a complaint , a team lead by CEO Anantnag inspected Oxford Presentaion High School KP road Anantnag and it was found that normal classwork was going on in the school without observing any SOPs of Covid-19 especially in pre-primary classes in voilation of government orders.

Whereas the act of school administration have serious ramifications as Covid -19 has not been controlled and Government has strictly directed that normal class work shall not be resumed as the young kids are one of the vulnerable groups.
In order to safeguard the precious lives and as a prophylactic measure, it is necessary to close the said establishment to prevent from the spread of disease.

“In view of the above,I, KK Sidha (KAS) District Magistrate Anantnag , in exercise of powers vested to me under section 144 Cr.Pc , Section 34 of National Disaster Management Act 1897 do hereby order the closure of aforesaid premises till further orders besides imposition of penalty to the tune of Rs. One Lac only for violating guidelines of government.Tehsildar Anantnag and SHO Anantnag shall close the premises immediately and report the compliance,” reads the order .
