In view of prevailing situation due to outbreak of Covid19 and in pursuance to the power vested,under the epidemic diseases Act 1897,the disaster management Act 2005 and under Sec 144 CrPc,DM Kupwara on Wednesday placed Kumar Mohalla Sogam under Red Zone and others as Buffer zones.

An official copy lies with Inside Kashmir reads:

Kumar Mohalla of Lolab,Tehsil Sogam is declared under Red Zone and consequently there shall be no inward or outward movement of any persons from the zone and the people shall stay indoors strictly.

Further,Sorrounding,Wathir Mohalla,Tulbuth and Mir Mohalla are declared as Buffer Zones and the inhabitants of these areas shall also restrict their movement and shall not allowed relatives/visitors to visit their homes,without written permission of Administrator concerned,an order reads

Tehsildar Sogam shall act as Administrator for the Red and Buffer Zones declared as indicated above.Further,the Administrator shall ensure screening of households in the Red Zone and furnish information as per the prescribed format to this office by 01:00PM on daily basis.

The Administrator shall be assisted by Mr Mohd Maqbool Kumar Lecturer GHSS Sogam and all the officers of the line departments to ensure the availability of basic facilities including food grains,LPG,medicines etc. in the Red and Buffer Zones.They shall promptly respond to medical emergencies and the concerned BMO shall provide one dedicated Ambulances for the Red Zone area.

The Administrator And Assisting Officials shall conduct survey of co-morbid and old age (above 60 yrs) people in the area and ensure their sampling in co-ordination with BMO Sogam and consequently report to Covid19 control room DC office Kupwara on daily basis.

The SHO concerned ensure barricading at all the entry points to the Red Zone to prevent inward and outward movements without valid pass issued by Administrator concerned,An order copy further reads.

Two(2) additional surveillance teams shall be deployed to cover all households in the Red Zone through door to door screening in the next four days.

Any person/group/organisation found involved in breach of this order shall be booked under relevant laws.
