A poor man forced to higher a sumo after a hospital allegedly ignored his plea for an ambulance for his pregnant wife in north Kashmir’s Taratpora villgam.
Mohammad Qasim of wagabal hafrada told API that doctors at NTPHC Taratpora had referred his pregnant wife to handwara District Hospital but refused to allot them an ambulance.
“They asked me to take my wife there in a Sumo cab As neither the Ambulance nor it’s driver is present.
he said, adding he is very poor and it was difficult for him to higher a private vehicle.
When API news contacted BMO villgam Dr.Fareed Ahmad, he said the fare charges will be returned to patient.
