Kulgam: Jammu & Kashmir Police arrested four drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession on Monday during a Naka at Jawahar Tunnel Qazigund in District Kulgam.
In a statement police said,Police Party on recieving a specific information established a special Naka at Jawahar Tunnel, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No PB02BS – 8276 with four persons on board.They were identified as
Kuldeep Singh Son of Krishan Singh, Sandeep Kour Wife of Manjeet Singh both residents of Gunwali Amritsar Punjab, Honey Singh Son of Manjeet Singh Resident of Udhanwal Gurdaspur Punjab and Paramjeet Singh Son of Manjeet Singh resident of Sultan Wind Amritsar Punjab.
During checking,a bag was found containing around 80 grams of Heroin like substance was seized from their possession.All the four persons were arrested along their vehicle was seized on spot.
In this connection a case FIR No.224/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Qazigund and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.
Meanwhile general public has applauded the Police action.
