G.R Beigh Memorial Trust organise Blood donation camp in SKIMS, Director SKIMS felicitated by NUJI.

Srinagar: To boost up the campaign for volunteer blood donation, a local NGO, G.R Beigh Memorial Trust organises a blood donation camp in SKIMS. The mesmerizing program was inaugurated by Director SKIMS Dr A.G Ahanger , who on the occasion lauded the performance of G.R Beigh Memorial Trust.

The first Blood Point was donated by Ishtiyaq Beigh, chairman , G.R Beigh Memorial Trust, to highlight the volunteer blood donation campaign.

Scores of volunteers in the august gathering donated moreover 50 points of blood, which was appreciated by dignitaries present there.

Chairman, Ishtiyaq Beigh , expressed a firm resolution about providing all necessary support to the medical field in Kashmir as well as families in need of medical assistance.

Chief Guest, Director SKIMS Dr. A.G Ahanger impressed upon the public to strictly adhere to the SOP’s prescribed by GOI against COVID 19 pandemic. ” I am very much impressed with G.R Beigh Memorial Trust for their tremendous efforts in the current crisis. They have been providing necessary efforts on a war footing and we always express our gratitude. I appeal to the public to be aware and conscious of the worst effects of COVID 19 Infection. As unlock 2 is coming in effect, the public should not give up rather they should keep their Masks up and follow all SOP’s “, said Dr. AG Ahanger, Director SKIMS.

Moreover, Director SKIMS A.G Ahangar was felicitated by the National Union of Journalists India today at SKIMS Soura for his tremendous work in fighting the covid pandemic. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a blood donation camp organised by haematology department of SKIMS in collaboration with G.R Beigh memorial trust, Syed Azhar Bukhari special representative of the National Union of Journalist India said that NUJI has taken this prestigious initiative to recognize covid pandemic warriors across the country who have put their lives on high risk while treating covid patients.

Azhar Bukhari said NUJI has appreciated such people throughout India and such initiative has been taken in J&K also.

Praising Dr A.G Ahangar courageous efforts in fighting covid pandemic Bukhari said there are people who did lot of work right from the start of this pandemic and dr ahangar is one of them whose work has been recognized by many quarters in India also.

Convener, INTACH J&K Chapter, Mohammad Saleem Beigh, was also present on the occasion .

Meanwhile, NUJI , Vice President, Syed Junaid Ul Islam expressed a vote of thanks to the medical fraternity for their thankless Job.

NUJI which is affiliated with the International Federation of Journalists IFJ Brussels, Belgium under the leadership of high profile personalities is taking the serious initiative to appreciate and encourage such people who saved many lives with their thoughtful and fruitful initiatives across.

NUJI is working in close contact with Jammu And Kasmir Journalists Union JKJU (affiliated with NUJI and IFJ) in felicitating people who have proved themselves as pandemic warriors.
