Gandhi Global Family J&K in collaboration with Harijan Sevak Sangh New Delhi organised relief camp at Gole Gujral of Block Marh in Jammu rural. The 30 local needy families were identified by Sarpanch S Prithvi Pal Singh of Panchayat Gole Gujral. These families were mostly daily wagers connected with local transport sector of Jammu.
The food package including dry ration & fresh vegetables were distributed in presence of GGF President J&K Dr S P Varma.
In his message, Prof (Dr) Shanker Kumar Sanyal President Harijan Sevak Sangh New Delhi appreciated the role of Gandhi Global Family and particularly the leadership of Dr S P Varma & his team in reaching out to the needy families in the current pandemic crisis in Jammu & Kashmir.
The relief camp was dedicated to local freedom fighter Mahatma Sardar Budh Singh,and was participated by members,Er K K Mattoo GGF Advisor & Former Chief Engineer PWD J&K Govt, Chowki Officer Pouni Chak Varuneshwar Singh and Sarpanch S Prithvi Pal Singh, Dr Prem Sharma GGF Advisor Jammu, Shri G N Jain, S Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu city, Mr Raman Sharma GGF coordinator Jammu city, Mr Rashid Choudhary, Mr Ragav Changotra, Mr Shahnaz, Mr Robin Gill & Mr Ankush Varma.
Dr S P Varma expressed his gratitude towards GGF Jammu executive S Jaswinder Singh Kuku and Mr Raman Sharma for their contribution in arranging relief material. Later he appealed Govt of India to officially involve local NGOs in the fight against Covid 19 pandemic in the country.
