Garbage heaps can been seen around all major public places in Guloora village , Kupwara and alongside it’s roads also. The banks of water bodies like Nalla Mawer and Nalla Pohru too are littered with waste , which is a threat to water bodies
“This is causing major inconvenience to residents who are facing a harrowing time due to the stench emanating from the unattended garbage, ” said a local resident .
The locals added that ,” Stray dogs and cattle rummaging through the garbage in search of food is a regular sight on the streets”. Residents alleged that neither the roads are being cleaned nor the garbage lifted.
Locals said under MGNREGA Gram Sabha 2019-2020 proposed a plan to their concerned VLW and Sarpanch but they take it lightly and are not working on the aspirations of local public
Residents of this village request concerned departement to take cognizance of the metter .
