Goodwill Gesture: Indian Army Sends Back Pakistan Cattles After they strayed into Indian side

Karnah:As goodwill gesture, the Indian Army returned  cattles to the rightful owner on the other side of the line of control after they had strayed into the Indian side.


“Two cattles belonging to someone in the Pakistan  had strayed into the Indian side in the jabdi sector. The Pakistan army was informed about this and the cattles were returned to the rightful owner through the Uri meeting point,” the sources said.


As a goodwill gesture, the Indian Army on Saturday handed over the cattles who had  crossed over the Line of Control into the Indian side back to the Pakistan army. The cattles, had  crossed over to the Indian side few days ago and was taken into custody by the Army unit deployed in the jabdi area.


The animals crossed over to the Indian side in the Jabdi area of Karnah sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday was handed over to the Pakistan army at the uri crossing point by the Indian army, a source said.
“Based on the interaction between the authorities of both sides on the Hotline, the Indian authorities handed over the Animals to the Pakistani authorities from Uri crossing point as a humanitarian gesture. 


Officials said that on the occasion of repatriation, the representatives of the civil administration of Karnah were also present. 
The Army has said that in an immediate action to provide succor and relief to the affected citizens of POK, Indian Army returned the cattles back to the rightful owner at Uri crossing point.
