Indian Army organises Medical Camp at Manzpattar

Kupwara: Indian army on Wednesday organised a medical camp in manzpattar here in Kupwara.

As per the statement lies with Inside Kashmir reads that Khanabal,Manchattar and Manzpattar are remote villages in Kupwara district of North Kashmir with population of around 2500 with economically backward people.Indian Army on wednesday conducted a medical camp at high school manzpattar to provide healthcare in this remote location.

People of these villages have no medical facilities and the nearest health center is at Kralpora,and they have to travel two hours even for minor problems,with no medical access there is a huge impact on health of the individuals,statement reads,

The medical camp was conducted with the help of CMO Kupwara and BMO,Kralpora. The camp was conducted on 20 October 2021 at High School, Manzpattar.

Doctors including Paediatrician,Gynaecologist,Ophthalmologist and General Physician provided healthcare services to the villagers.

An Army doctor and two Nursing Assistants of the Indian Army along with 5 Paramedical Staff from CHC Kralpora rendered their services.

The camp had an overwhelming response with total of 160 patients,who have been provided with medical care which included 64 male patients,43 female patients and 53 children,statement further reads,

Paediatrician gave advice to parents of young children on nutritional status,anemia.Chronic illnesses like umblical hernia in children,Achilles tendon rupture,muscle tears were examined and given proper advice and referral to the higher center at District Hospital Kupwara.

Free medicines were distributed to every patient in the camp.(IK)
