Kupwara, June 29: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today launched 3 days First Aid Training Programme here at TRC which was organized by Indian Red Cross Society Kupwara. The programme has started today and was attended by 30 volunteers from AMT School, BHSS Kupwara and different educational institutions.
On the occasion, ADC interacted with the volunteers and emphasized their role in contributing towards the welfare of poor and needy people especially in present distressed situation. The ADC briefed the participants about various ways of contributing towards the wellbeing of the society. He stressed upon the participants to make themselves mentally prepared to help people in difficult times and expressed his best wishes for their noble mission.
Meanwhile, Mudasir Ahmad, Trainer, RCS Kupwara apprised the participants about functioning and role of Red Cross Society in the district. He also taught them various ways of participating and contributing as a Red Cross volunteer.
