Ishfaq Jabar demands restoration of 4G internet, release of prisoners ahead of Ramdhan.

National Conference Senior Leader and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Thursday urged the government to immediately restore high-speed 4G internet service and release all Kashmiri detainees in view of coronavirus and blessed month of Ramdhan.

In a statement issued here the former MLA has demanded immediate release of all prisoners who were lodged in jails within and outside J&K after the abrogation of Article 370, to ease their sufferings.

In such situations when there is global crisis month, the detained political leaders which include NC general secretary Ali Mohd Sagar, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti , Dr Shah Fisal and other too must be released as soon as possible,” he said. These detainees would be able to be with their families to observe this blessed month.

He further said that since all the educational institutions were closed as a result of coronavirus outbreak students were missing classes, creating an education disruption in J&K.

He urged the government for immediate restoration of 4G internet service keeping the future of students in view.
