Baramulla: JCB operator died after being hit by a shooting stone while working in a mine of Naloosa Boniyar of Baramulla district on Thursday.
Sources told IK that the operator was working at a mine at Naloosa Boniyar within the jurisdiction of Bijhama when the Gypsum slide occurred and buried him along with the machine.
The operator was identified as Shabir Ahmad Beigh son of Mohammad Haneif Beigh of Jabadar Bijhama Boniyar.
SDPO Uri confirmed the incident to IK and said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of law. (IK)
