Kupwara: Kashmir Server’s foundation in unison with District Administration Kupwara Felicitated 20 Women Achivers Of Kupwara District here on Friday.
An impressive cum grand event was held at Town hall Kupwara in which Deputy Commissioner Kupwara graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The felicitation ceremony which was organised by Kashmir Server’s foundation had selected 20 Women Achivers out of hundreds of registration for the final award. The purpose to celebrate these women was to acknowledge the un-noticed villages of Kupwara to uplift women entrepreneurs & traders and aware people about the different employment avenues that can help our society in sustainable development.
During the event, around 20-awards of achievements were distributed among the women achievers. The NSS volunteers and other voluntary social workers were also felicitated with their laudable performance by Chairperson of Kashmir servers Foundation Refat Wani,Mohd Shafi Lone & Shadaab Mehmood.
Addressing on the eve, top District level officer said that women has a pivotal role in these days as women’s are running & working parallel to the men in these modern days. He also reteriated several govt schemes which have launched for the betterment & to uplift the women, mainly those from underprivileged sections of the community.
“Women has a vast & key role in our society, in a family & in nation building”, he said,
“Women has worked parllel to the men & is not letting any stone unturned in every section of life. Women deserves high regard & respect”, adding “When there are more hands, there are more brains”,
“Women has become an indefinite role of the society. Be it in politics, administration level, or other socio-political level, they are expanding their arms to express their strength”,. He also said that President of India Droupadi Marmu, is the ist lady from the tribal community to hold the highest office in country.
Deputy Commisioner Kupwara held a brief interactive sessio with the women achivers and wished them good luck and bright future.
Principal Boys Degree College Kupwara, Prof.Mohd Shafi, Dr. Shazia a renowned environmentalist, Shadab Mehboob, cluster head ,J&K Bank Kupwara district, Dr. Shugufta Qazi, Gynecologist,Chairperson Kashmir Servers Foundation also addressed on the eve & highlighted about the role and contribution of women.
This programme was the maiden of its kind programme held in Kupwara. “The objective behind organising this programme was actually to aware people about various fields of employment generation for the rural people of Kupwara or kashmir which can not only influx revenue for a person itself but can help them create employment for others as well, hence it can help our society to curb unemployment issue at a larger extent”, reads the statement of KSF issued here,
Notably, Kashmir Server’s Foundation (A Govt Registered Organisation) is a youth driven think tank that has members from different educational back grounds and, who are from different localities of Kupwara.
