Kupwara Admin launches Kissan Sampark Abhiyan’ Farmers Orientation Program

Kupwara: ‘The Kissan Sampark Abhiyan’ Farmers Orientation Program was launched today in district Kupwara, as part of the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP). Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan inaugurated the program in Batergam Panchayat of Kupwara CD-Block. The HADP aims to create awareness among farmers and PRIs by collaborating with all line departments to facilitate and hand-hold them for the implementation of this prestigious program.

The program covers 45 projects conceived under HADP, using audio-visual aids for effective orientation and awareness. During the program, experts from different fields gave a detailed power-point presentation about project description and plan of work, emphasizing innovative and holistic approaches for promoting agriculture and allied sectors.

The ADDC Kupwara expressed his happiness towards all line departments for reaching out to farmers and emphasized the use of Information & Communication technology for amelioration of the Agriculture sector in the district. The program concluded with an interaction cum feedback session between the experts and farmers.

District Nodal Officer HADP, Dr. Ishrat, described the aims and objectives of the Holistic Agriculture Development Program and said that it will change the face of the Agriculture sector in Kupwara district. The program was attended by several officers, functionaries, and technical staff of line departments, including Member District Development Council Drugmulla, Adv. Amina, District Agriculture Officer G.M Dhobi, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara Dr. Ashraf, Block Development Officer Kupwara Mansoor Ahmad Shah, and others.
