Kupwara: Army expresses Support with family of 17 yr old Youth who committed suicide

Kupwara: Indian Army in Kupwara while sympathizing and expressing support with the family of 17-year-old boy from Kupwara, Visited their home along with top army officials.

“Saqib Ahmad Ahanger 17-year-old boy was a bread earner for his family and had a lot of responsibilities. We came here to show solidarity with the family and provide all possible support in such grief,” said an army official.

” Army sympathized with the family of the individual which comprises of his father, mother, one brother and three sisters living in Glassdaji village of Kupwara. The mortal remains have reached the family after the postmortem. Later in the evening, DC Imam u ddin of Kupwara also visited the family for condolence at 1630 hrs”, a local administration official said to this reporter.

It is pertained to mention that, Saqib had jumped into river Jhelum on Friday evening. He was living as paying guest in Kawdara area of Nawa Kadal in Srinagar with his brother and cousin brother. The class 11 student had also shot a video before committing suicide and sought forgiveness from his parents for taking this extreme step on 26 June 2021.
