Sopore : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed that they have arrested an active militant of Lashkar e Toiba along with his associate in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told that based on inputs regarding militant presence, Joint forces launched cordon and search operation at Ningli area of this North Kashmir town. During the operation an active militant along with his associate were arrested.
He identified the arrested militant as Towfeeq Kaboo son of Ghulam Rasool Kaboo, a resident of Kaboo Mohalla Arampora Sopore and associate has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Kaloo son of Abdul Rahman Kaloo resident of Takiabal Sopore.
In this regard a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, He added.
