Chairman, Centre for Research on Public Policy, Adv Abdul Majid Banday has condoled death of one of the prominent legal luminary of Jammu and Kashmir, Adv Mohammad Amin Wani of Kukroosa Ramhall, Handwara.
In his press handout Adv Banday said, “Adv Wani has served judiciary for more than four decades. He was a people’s advocate who will be always remembered for his brillaint professional skills and great human values.” “Throughout his professional career, Mr Wani has set high standards in the legal field. He was a saner voice who used to call spade a spade even at the face of adversity” Added Mr Banday.
Mr wani was a good social activist and a prominent political figure of our area. He played a crucial role in various political changes in Handwara assembly constituency and his political career spanning over a period of several decades was a revolutionary phase that helped in the development of this area. A man with down to earth attitude and always ready to go extra mile with a people- friendly approach will be always remembered for his great human values, said, Chairman, CRPP, Mr Banday.
Mohammad Amin Wani was ill from the last several years and his health seldom allowed him to come out and meet his friends and colleagues. However, his death at this point of time has left everyone of us devastated. With him we have lost a great teacher, philonthropist, guide and a leader of immense qualities.
Mr wani was like a father to me. I feel it a personal loss and pray for the eternal bliss of this noble soul. In this time of grief and sorrow my all sympathies are with his son, Adv Shahnawaz Amin Wani and his all family members.
