Decomposed Vegetables Destroyed, Fine Recovered

Sopore, 02 May : On the directions of deputy commissioner Baramulla and chief executive officer Municipal Council Sopore market checking was intensified in different areas of the Town Sopore.
The checking squard headed by Tehsildar Sopore Comprising Naib tehsildar and food inspector MC sopore conducted market checking of various areas of town Sopore, during the course of action team destroyed 30kgs of decomposed vegetables and rotten fruits on sport.
The aim of the market checking was to maintain hygiene and fresh stock’s eatables in the market and also to curb black marketing and profiteering of essential commodities during this covid 19 pendemic.
Besides this an amount of RS 2300/ was also recovered as fine from the erring shopkeepers/vendors.
“The defaulters have been directed to remain carefull in future and not to take advantage of the on going lockdown”, Food Inspector Added.
