Sopore: A video has gone viral on social media purportedly showing a Municipal Council Sopore employee taking bribe from a driver.
A minute-long video clip goes viral in which an employee from Municipality Sopore is seen taking bribe while as another employee is seeing counting the money which he allegedly has taken from another driver.
The employees according to locals were at a traffic regulating duty at Main Chowk area of the town.
Executive Officer Municipal Council Sopore Mr Sameer Jan told, we are investigating the matter and for now, they have been removed from traffic regulating duty and had been shifted to B2.
“We had earlier received a number of complaints against them, we will investigate this matter and will act accordingly”, he added.
