Handwara, Wednesday,19 January:Living in the remote village of Qaziabad in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Adnan Rashid (19) has been capturing cricket moments with his lens for the last two years.
Adnan began photographing cricket moments in his hometown of Handwara two years ago. Within a short time, he got his name and fame after several of his pictures went viral on social media.
He is presently living with his maternal Uncle in Kohru (Langate). The area has produced several towering personalities and cricketers.
He is currently working for the valley’s leading sports page, “Cricket Ramhal,” which is giving space to the valley’s top sports personalities.
Adnan is not only good at capturing cricket moments through his lens, but he is also good at school. The passionate photographer has shined in matriculation examination with 95 percent and in his 12th class, he has got 454/500.
“My aim in capturing cricket moments is to promote local talent.” I am feeling grateful that I got an opportunity to publish my work on the valley’s top sports page.
To a query, he said, the owner of the sports page, Bhat Musa, who is also among the well-known cricketers of north Kashmir, encouraged me always.
The young photographer is currently perusing his honours in Chemistry from SP College Srinagar.
Besides sports photography, Adnan is presently working as a young tutor at Paradise School in Kohru, where he educated classes for 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students.
Whenever I get free time, I immerse myself in-home tutoring to teach 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students.
