Budgam: Basair Khanday a youth from the Charari Sharef area of Budgam has commenced an initiative to free youth from drugs and other disastrous ingredients.
He has launched his own NGO named Team Abroo with some members and is acting tough to give Kashmir a fresh breath of drug-free air.
While conversing with Mr Basair he said, “To work for any Ngo was invariably a dream project and purpose of my life, I began helping as a volunteer for many NGO’s. In 2019 I turned on my own NGO (TEAM ABROO) whose essential job and the main objective is not to familiar the youth about drug dependence but to wipe it out from the Valley. At the age of 18, I came through many teenagers who were pampered in drug-taking activities and they had not only expired their wonderful lives but also eradicated the peace, strength and hope of their families. I was an eager observer of such undesirable and unlawful engagements of inexperienced children. I didn’t want to see them in an unknown and shameful end.
I set my mind and took a pledge to be on a career for such drug-addicted youths to get them out of it. My simple and straight agenda is to make Kashmir free from drugs as youth is the substantial strength and asset of a nation. It’s a promise to every youth of my society I shall leave no stone unturned to make drug free Kashmir”.
