Kupwara: Police have claimed to have seized narcotics in Diver Lolab area of north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
A police official told that, eight kilograms of dried cannabis was recovered by a departmental team during a routine naka at Dilbagh Diver area of Lalpora.
“Few persons with suspicious movements were seen approaching the area and upon seeing a police team at the naka, they lift away leaving behind a bag”, the official said adding
“Upon searching the bag eight kilograms of dried cannabis were recovered.”
The official further said: “We have launched manhunt to nab the culprits even as an FIR Number 74/2020 under section 8/20 NDPS has been lodged at Police Station Lalpora in this regard.”
