NHM Employees Without Salary; Authorities Unmoved

Srinagar, The Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission Employees on Sunday expressed their deep resentment and concern over the non payable of the monthly salaries on regular intervals.

In a communique recieved here which reads, “Nearly Eleven Thousands Employees working under the ambit of National Health Mission in different hospitals across the UT-J&K are working tirelessly without being credited salary on regular basis.

These frontline workers are performing their legitimate duties that too without any risk
allowances.

The employees urged the authorities to redress the grievances of salary on priority.

They said that it has become a habit on part of government that they never release the salary to NHM employees on timely basis despite these desperate times we are working 24 hrs and augments the health services to general masses, but in return we have been deprived from our basic dues”, reads the handout received here,

Incumbent President NHM has urged Hon’ble LG-UT JK to take cognizance and initiate process with regard to our job security, so that we are able to put our best and concerted efforts for achievement of objective of the Mission”.

He said that “There is complete apathy on part of the government and nothing seems to
move. The authorities are forcing us to hit the streets, either we may have to take harsher steps in time to come, the responsibility of all which will squarely lie on the government”.
